Hannah Mico has a diverse range of work experience. Hannah most recently worked as a Community Organizing Associate at River Network starting in February 2020. Prior to that, they were an Education & Visitor Programs Specialist at Holland Board of Public Works from September 2018 to February 2020. Hannah also volunteered as a Community Environmental Conservation Volunteer with Peace Corps in Panamá for seven months in 2018. Additionally, Hannah worked at Urban Roots Grand Rapids as a Mobile Classroom Intern & Educator, Office Coordinator, and Design & Marketing intern from March 2017 to 2018. Hannah was also a Community Outreach Contractor at West Michigan Environmental Action Council from February 2017 to 2018. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Teller at Michigan First Credit Union from June 2015 to February 2017. Hannah also served as a Volunteer Coordinator at Art Prize for a month in 2016. Furthermore, they gained experience as an Environmental Education Intern at West Michigan Environmental Action Council from April 2016 to September 2016. Lastly, they worked as a Gymnastics Instructor at Gymco from July 2014 to December 2015, and as a Photographer for Grand Valley State University Office of Student Life from August 2014 to June 2015.
Hannah Mico completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Natural Resource Management with a minor in Biology from Grand Valley State University between 2013 and 2016. Prior to that, they attended Macomb Community College in 2012 and 2013, but did not obtain a degree.
In addition to their formal education, Hannah has obtained several certifications. In 2017, they became a Citizen Forester through the Friends of Grand Rapids Parks - Urban Forest Project. In 2016, they obtained S-290/S-133 certification from the National Wildfire Coordinating Group. In 2015, they received a Leave No Trace certification from the Leave No Trace Center For Outdoor Ethics. Furthermore, Hannah obtained CPR certification from the American Heart Association in 2014. Lastly, they have also acquired S-130/S-190 certification from the National Wildfire Coordinating Group, although the specific month and year of obtaining this certification are not provided.
