Joshua Sumrall

Joshua Sumrall has an extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. Joshua started their career as a Staff Registered Nurse at Children's Hospital New Orleans in 2003 and later became a Nursing Supervisor. In 2008, they were promoted to the role of Director of Behavioral Health at the same hospital. In 2015, they joined Nicklaus Children's Health System as a Nurse Director of Psychiatry. Joshua held various leadership positions within the organization, including Nurse Director of Psychiatry & Infant Med-surg and Nurse Director of Psychiatry/Infant Med-surg/Observation Unit. In 2018, Joshua joined Children's Hospital New Orleans again, this time as the Director of Case Management & Social Services. Joshua later became the Director of Case Management & Revenue Cycle. In 2022, they transitioned to East Jefferson General Hospital as the Assistant Vice President of Patient Services. Finally, in 2023, Joshua assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer at River Oaks Hospital.

Joshua Sumrall completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing at Nicholls State University from 1998 to 2002. Subsequently, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Healthcare Management at the University of Miami from 2008 to 2009.
