SOLUTIONS We have reintroduced 18,000 acres of strategically-sited floodplain forests (an area nearly half the size of San Francisco) over the past 25 years. By expanding habitat for fragile species, we provide cost-effective, natural flood protection and water conservation. WHERE WE WORK Just 5% of California’s native riparian habitat remains. We are working to restore a meaningful foothold for wildlife and provide immediate solutions to water management challenges throughout the state. With the largest on-the-ground restoration footprint of any nonprofit organization or for-profit firm in the western US, River Partners restores river corridors from the northern Sacramento Valley to the US-Mexico border in some of the State’s most ecologically-imperiled farmland, native grass and scrublands.
