Patti Mitchell has extensive experience in the recreation sector, currently serving as the Superintendent of Recreation at River Trails Park District since February 1993, where responsibilities include overseeing the recreation team, customer service team, and communications and marketing manager. Previously, Patti served as the Recreation Supervisor at Butterfield Park District from April 1990 to February 1992, being the first individual to hold that position. Educationally, Patti holds two Bachelor’s degrees in Parks, Recreation, and Leisure Studies from Northeastern Illinois University, obtained between 1986 and 1999.

River Trails Park District

The River Trails Park District is a public park and recreation agency that serves the communities of Mount Prospect and Prospect Heights. River Trails Park District is an Illinois Distinguished Accredited Agency. The district has nine parks, Weiss Community Center, Burning Bush Community Center, 401 Administrative Building, Woodland Trails Pool & Aquatic Facility, Rob Roy Golf Course and 10th Hole Bar & Grill and Woodland Trails Driving Range & Miniature Golf. The Park District is responsible for the maintenance, operation and administration of parks and parks facilities under its jurisdiction.
