Rachel Nilsen

Rachel Nilsen has extensive experience in children's ministry and caregiving. Currently serving as the Go Kids Pastor at River Valley Church since October 2015, Rachel began as an Elementary Associate before advancing to this leadership role for the St. Paul and Apple Valley campuses. Prior to this, Rachel worked at Chipotle Mexican Grill as a Takeout Specialist, and contributed to the YMCA as a Kids Camp Counselor, responsible for overseeing a group of children aged 5-9. Earlier experience includes a role as a nanny where Rachel developed a discipline plan for the family. Rachel holds a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Teaching from North Central University and graduated from Apple Valley Senior High School.
