Byron Bakker

Byron Bakker is an accomplished QA engineering professional with extensive experience spanning over three decades in software quality assurance and testing. Currently serving as Director of QA Engineering at Riverbed Technology since January 2013, Byron has held various leadership roles, including Sr. Manager of QA Engineering following Riverbed's acquisition of OPNET Technologies. Prior roles include Lead QA Engineer at OPNET, where Byron managed teams in testing network performance appliances, and earlier positions at Network Physics, Verity, and DirecTV, where Byron developed automated testing frameworks and expanded QA teams. With a solid educational background in Computer Programming from De Anza College, Byron has consistently demonstrated expertise in test automation, team leadership, and project management.
