Matt Easley

Matt Easley has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several companies. Matt started their career in 1993 as a Senior Engineer at Intermetrics, Inc., where they designed and implemented translator code and was responsible for providing training on security systems. Matt then worked as a Senior Systems Engineer at TIS from 1996 to 1998, providing support, consulting, and training to information security customers. From 1998 to 1999, Matt served as a Systems Engineer at enCommerce, Inc., where they supported the sales team and implemented system evaluations. Matt also worked as a Senior Technology Consultant and Product Marketing Manager at TriStrata, Inc., providing support to the sales team, conducting system evaluations, and delivering consulting services to customers.

In 1999, Matt joined Arca Systems as a Security Consultant, managing projects, acting as a Security Account Manager, and providing security recommendations. Matt then worked as a Security Consultant and Senior Systems Engineer at Exodus Communications from 2000 to 2001, managing projects, serving as a Security Account Manager, and overseeing physical security controls for data centers.

Matt joined Gartner in 2001 as an Analyst, providing guidance to clients on various security topics such as firewalls, storage security, and access control. From 2002 to 2005, they served as the Director of Systems Engineering at Bluefire Security Technologies, where they managed a team of pre-sales engineers, conducted technical sales presentations, and executed solution pilots at customer sites.

In 2005, Matt joined Mazu Networks as a Principal Solutions Engineer, providing pre and post-sales engineering support, partnering with sales professionals, and achieving direct sales revenue goals. Matt then joined Riverbed Technology in 2009 and held various leadership positions including Technical Solutions Architect, Solutions Engineering Manager/Director, and Senior Director of Solutions Engineering in different divisions and regions.

Currently, Matt is the Vice President of Technical Sales Engineering, Federal at Riverbed Technology. Matt has extensive experience in technical sales engineering and solutions engineering in both the public and private sectors.

Matt Easley obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science with a concentration in Computer Graphics from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, from 1985 to 1990. Matt also holds a certification as RCPE Associate: NetProfiler from Riverbed Technology, obtained in 2021.
