Christopher Ingold

Head, Secondary School at The Riverina Anglican College

Christopher is a passionate and experienced educator with over ten years of experience in the independent school sector. Having studied a Bachelor of Education (Humanities) and a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Sydney, he began his teaching career at Arndell Anglican College. Christopher obtained a Master of Education (Leadership and Management) and a Master of Commerce (Strategy, Innovation and Entrepreneurship; Marketing; and Human Resource Management).

He moved to Blue Mountains Grammar School in 2014, teaching Legal Studies, Modern History, Extension History and Junior HSIE. He became a Head of House in 2016, and then Assistant Director – School improvement in 2020. Christopher has consistently worked to develop strategies to improve student experience on campus; including strengthening the Year 7 orientation program and Year 10 Senior Studies Program as well as leading the implementation of a whole school approach to student growth.

Coming from a family of teachers, Christopher is passionate about developing an approach to education that encompasses growth of the student as a whole. A core tenet of his practice aims to ensure that both staff and students feel connected within their educational journey. Christopher believes that knowing each student is the key to ensuring that they can flourish on their own terms, particularly supported by the provision of a wide range of educational experiences and challenges.
