Luka Skoric

Quantum Engineer at Riverlane

Luka Skoric is a Quantum Engineer at Riverlane. Prior to joining Riverlane, Luka was a Data Scientist at DreamsAi, where they helped set up machine learning infrastructure and worked on machine learning-based voice verification for online gambling player verification, OCR captcha solver, and receipt scanning utility. Luka also served as a Data Scientist at Dreamshub Limited, where they worked on machine learning algorithms for data classification and analysis.

Luka is currently a PHD candidate at the University of Cambridge, where they are investigating new effects in 3D magnetic nanostructures for applications in spintronics. Luka has given talks at MML 2019, SpinS-2019, and MMM 2020 conferences, and has assembled a custom magneto-optical system and made Python software to control and synchronize over 20 instruments. Luka has also conducted magnetic characterization of 3D structures using X-ray light source at SOLEIL and Alba synchrotron facilities (PEEM microscopy).

Prior to their work at the University of Cambridge, Luka was a Research Intern at the University of Oxford from July 2015 to September 2015, and a Software Developer at HRPRO d.o.o. from July 2014 to August 2014.

Luka Skoric pursued a PhD in EPSRC CDT in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology at the University of Cambridge. Prior to that, they completed their Master of Science in Physics at the same school. Luka started their academic journey at the University of Cambridge with a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics.
