Neil Gillespie has over a decade of experience in the field of applied research, currently serving as Vice President of Applied Research and Head of Decoding at Riverlane since March 2020. Previously, Neil held various roles, including Senior Manager and Senior Quantum Scientist at Riverlane, and was a Heilbronn Research Fellow at the Heilbronn Institute for Mathematical Research from October 2013 to March 2020. Earlier in his career, Neil worked as a Research Associate and Research Assistant at The University of Western Australia, and as a Lecturer at The University of Notre Dame, Australia. Neil Gillespie earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Mathematics from The University of Western Australia and a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Mathematics from The University of Edinburgh.
