Michele Chirgwin

Michele Chirgwin, CPA, has over 9 years of public accounting experience, specializing in risk management, internal audits, SOX compliance, and business process improvement across various sectors, including manufacturing, financial services, telecommunications, and technology. Currently serving as Vice President of Risk Management at Rivermark Community Credit Union since February 2021, Michele also has a background as an Internal Audit Manager and previously worked as a self-employed contractor, providing consulting services in internal audit and risk management. Prior experience includes an Experienced Manager role at Grant Thornton LLP, where responsibilities encompassed SOX compliance and overseeing financial reporting for a gaming/hospitality organization. Additionally, Michele has experience in accounts payable from positions at Franz Family Bakery and has entrepreneurial experience as the founder of Michele's Chocolate Truffles.
