John Hawthorne has a diverse work experience, starting in 2011 as the Founder/CEO of HARDWORK24/7, where they managed the overall operations and resources of the company. John then held roles such as Head of Player Development/Assistant Coach for The Riverside Church, Player Development Coach for the Chinese Mens National Basketball Team, and Managing Member of HARDWORKBOYS, LLC. John has also worked as a Marketing Manager for Strideline, Head Athletic Trainer and Head Women Basketball Coach for NYC Lab High School for Collaborative Studies, Head Athletic Trainer for Ebc High School for Public Service-Bushwick and South Shore High School, and Assistant Skills Trainer for Westchester Knicks.

John Hawthorne attended Becker College from 2002 to 2003, where they studied Business Administration and Management, General. In addition to their college education, John obtained a certification in USA Basketball Coaching from USA Basketball in March 2022. John also obtained a certification in Rutgers S.A.F.E.T.Y. Clinic - Little League Law in January 2015, although the institution that provided this certification is not specified.
