Jo Scott-Coe is a Professor of English & Creative Writing at Riverside City College since September 2006, where responsibilities include teaching various writing and literature courses and organizing campus literary events. In addition to this role, Scott-Coe serves as a Workshop Facilitator at Inlandia Institute, leading workshops for emerging writers in the Inland Empire. As a self-employed freelance writer since 2003, Scott-Coe has authored three books focusing on the intersection of public-private violence and engages in research and speaking engagements. Previous experience includes teaching positions at UC Riverside and the University of Phoenix, as well as a workshop instructor for the Invisible Memoirs Project. Scott-Coe holds an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of California, Riverside, and an MA in English Rhetoric & Composition from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona.
