Riverside County Flood Control and Water Conservation District
Nicholas Guizado, P.E. is a professional engineer with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona and an Associate of Science in Land Surveying/Mapping from Santiago Canyon College. Currently serving as a Junior Engineer at Riverside County Flood Control and Water Conservation District since August 2017, Nicholas has previously worked as a Civil Analyst at Kimley-Horn, focusing on land development for small site retail projects. Additional experience includes an Earthwork Engineering Internship at Atkinson Construction, where tracking material costs and approving time cards were key responsibilities, and a Surveying and Mapping Internship at Riverside County Flood Control, executing surveys for flood control basins. Nicholas also gained foundational experience as an Engineering Technician at Cornerstone Land Surveying Inc., performing various types of surveys and construction staking.

The mission of the Riverside County Flood Control and Water Conservation District is to protect people, property and watersheds from damage or destruction from flood and storm waters and to conserve, reclaim and save such waters for beneficial use.
