April Grunhovd

April Grunhovd has had a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. April started working at Fair Meadow Nursing Home in 2000 as an LPN/Charge Nurse/CNA until 2004. April then joined MeritCare Health System in 2004 as a Clinical Coordinator until 2009. April's most recent role was at RiverView Health, where they held multiple positions. April began in 2009 as the Director of Infection Control and Prevention, gradually taking on additional responsibilities such as oversight of emergency preparedness, employee wellness, cardiac and pulmonary rehab, and outpatient nursing infusion. In 2014, they became the Director of the Emergency Department and Infection Prevention, and in 2015, they were promoted to the position of Chief Nursing Officer/Vice President of Patient Care Services.

April Grunhovd first attended Fertile Beltrami School, although no degree or field of study is specified.

Later, in 2002, they pursued an Associate's Degree in Practical Nursing at Northwest Technical College in Moorhead, MN. April completed their studies in 2003.

Following this, they enrolled at Northland Community and Technical College, where they pursued an Associate's Degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse. April completed this program in 2004.

In 2005, April Grunhovd obtained a Certification in Massage Therapy/Therapeutic Massage from the Skin and Bodywork Institute in Grand Forks, ND.

In 2006, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from Minnesota State University Moorhead.

After working as a nurse, April Grunhovd decided to further their education and pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Mary. April began their studies in 2020 and is scheduled to complete the program in 2022.

April Grunhovd also holds additional certifications. In 2011, they obtained the CIC certification from the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology, Inc. April also gained the Certified Executive Nursing Practice certification from the American Organization of Nurse Executives (AONE) in January 2019.
