Sheila Solomon

Sheila Solomon has a diverse work experience in the journalism industry and nonprofit sector. Sheila is currently serving as the President of the Board of Directors at Journalism Funding Partners, a startup nonprofit focused on funding local news organizations. Previously, they worked at Bay City News Inc and The Obsidian Collection Archives as a member of the Wise Women Council and the Member Advisory Board, respectively. Sheila has also served as a member of the Board of Directors at City Bureau and as a Strategic Alliances Liaison and Manager at Rivet, where they facilitated partnerships with nonprofits and managed recruiting and internships. Prior to that, they worked as an independent recruiter, diversity consultant, and trainer in Chicago, guiding recent graduates and assisting journalism organizations. Additionally, they hold certifications as a Work-Out Coach from the Tribune Company and in Zenger-Miller from Zenger-Miller / Knight-Ridder.
