Chantal Reusken is a prominent expert in virology, currently serving as a Professor of "Emerging viruses in One-Health Context" at Faculteit Diergeneeskunde, Universiteit Utrecht, since June 2025. Reusken holds a position on the board of KNVM Virology, contributing to virology research interactions in the Netherlands, and acts as Chair of the WHO Collaborating Centre on Lab preparedness and response for high-threat pathogens and biorisk. Reusken also participates in the WHO's Technical Advisory Group on Arboviruses, focusing on global arbovirus impacts. As a Principal Expert in Virology at RIVM's Centre for Infectious Disease Control and Coordinator of EVD-LabNet, Reusken addresses challenges posed by emerging viruses.
