John Alabastro

John Alabastro currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer at RCBC since January 2023. Prior to this, John held significant leadership positions at BDO Unibank as Chief Information Security Officer and Vice President of IT Risk from November 2017 to January 2023. John was the Director of ICT at Philippine Transmarine Carriers, Inc. from December 2015 to October 2017 and was President at People eServe, Pan Pacific Computer Center, and iPeople at various times between 2001 and 2015. Additionally, John served as Chief Information Officer at House of Investments in 2011-2012 and as Dean of the School of IT at Mapua Institute of Technology from January 2008 to December 2011. John's early career includes roles as a Consultant at Questra and an R&D Engineer at APTi. Academically, John holds a Professional Certificate in Data Science from Harvard Online, a Master's degree in Computer Science from Syracuse University, and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of the Philippines.
