Rolando Benitez has over 20 years of experience in the field of geology and environmental sciences. Rolando has held various positions in different companies, starting with their role as a Field Technician III at Paul C. Rizzo Associates, Inc. in 2003. Rolando then progressed through different roles, including Geoscientist, Project Geoscientist, and Senior Project Geoscientist. In 2010, they became a Project Supervisor in Geology, and then moved up to become a Managing Principal in Geology at Paul C. Rizzo Associates in 2012. From 2012 to 2017, they held multiple roles at Rizzo Associates, including Principal in the Earth and Environmental Sciences and Geosciences departments. In 2017, they became the Chief Geologist at RIZZO International, where they are currently working. Prior to their roles at Rizzo Associates and RIZZO International, they worked at PDVSA Petroleos de Venezuela S.A. as a Production Geologist in both the Integrated Studies and Sedimentology departments.
Rolando Benitez's education history begins in 1981 when they attended Colegio Universitario de Maracaibo and earned a technician degree in Geology/Earth Science. Rolando then pursued their Bachelor's degree in Geological/Geophysical Engineering from Universidad Central de Venezuela, which they completed in 1996. Later, in 1998, Rolando attended the University of South Carolina and obtained a Master's degree in Geology/Earth Science.
