Dong Zhao has a diverse work experience that spans over several decades. Dong began their career as a Research Engineer/Project Manager at the Institute of Water Resources and Hydropower Research (IWHR) from 1985 to 1991. Dong then worked as a Construction Inspector at Ambric Testing & Engineering Associates Of VA, Inc. from 1996 to 1997. Following that, they were a Project Manager at CTI Consultants, Inc. from 1997 to 1998. Dong then joined Loudoun County as an Engineer III/Project Manager from 1998 to 2001. Dong then worked at Huntley Nyce & Associates as a Project Manager from 2001 to 2005, followed by Loiederman Soltesz Associates, Inc. as a Project Manager from 2005 to 2006. Dong then moved to Patton Harris Rust & Associates as a Project Manager from 2006 to 2008. Dong has most recently been working at RJM Engineering, Inc., where they started as a Project Manager in 2008 and is currently the President since May 2014.
Dong Zhao holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University, which was obtained between 1991 and 1996. Prior to this, they earned a Master's Degree in Civil Engineering from the Institute of Water Resources and Hydropower Research (IWHR) from 1982 to 1985. Dong Zhao also holds a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture, completed between 1978 and 1982. There is an additional certification of "Ph.D., P.E." obtained, but no further information is provided.
