Samuel Munday

Samuel Munday has worked in the logistics industry since 1991. Samuel began their career at VISX as a Stores Supervisor, where they developed, wrote, and trained staff on ISO 9000 procedures to prepare for certification and implemented a cycle count program. In 2000, they became a Resident Planner at Celestica, providing master production schedules to three separate factories to support various Sun platforms. In 2003, they joined Kyphon as a Senior Distribution Supervisor, leading a cross functional staff in all aspects of day to day activities and reviewing and updating SOP's and Work Instructions for functional areas to ensure compliance and certification of ISO audits. In 2011, they moved to Davis Instruments as an Inventory Control Manager, managing the warehouse, shipping/receiving and inventory control. Since 2014, they have been an Operations Supervisor at Rk Logistics Group Inc, managing a staff of 50 associates across day and swing shifts, reviewing and updating 25 SWI's in preparation for ISO recertification, and implementing a cross training program to improve team flexibility between work centers.

Samuel Munday obtained a BS Business and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Business Administration and Management, General from Saint Mary's College of California between 1993 and 1995. In 2001, they obtained a CPIM - Certification in Production and Inventory Management from APICS - The Educational Society for Resource Management.
