Lian Wintermans

Lian Wintermans is an experienced information specialist with a diverse background in metadata and linked open data. Currently serving as the Information Specialist Linked Open Data for the Van Gogh Worldwide project at RKD - Nederlands Instituut voor Kunstgeschiedenis since September 2021, Lian has been a member of the RDA Committee for FOBID Netherlands Library Forum since January 2016, taking on the role of Chair since November 2018. Previous roles include Partner at Heron Information Management, Lecturer at GO opleidingen, and a significant tenure at Koninklijke Bibliotheek, where Lian focused on metadata strategies and represented the library in the European RDA Interest Group. Earlier experience includes positions at Brill Academic Publishers and IDC Publishers, with a strong academic foundation in Slavic Studies from Leiden University and additional education in Digital Humanities and classical music.
