Rianne Piening

Rianne Piening is an experienced professional in art history and application management, currently serving as Applicatiebeheerder at RKD - Nederlands Instituut voor Kunstgeschiedenis since February 2020, overseeing the technical management and development of user applications. Previous roles include Research Intern at KIK-IRPA, where Rianne conducted significant research on a sixteenth-century painting, and Student Assistant at Universiteit Utrecht, providing support in art history education. Rianne has also held various editorial positions at Tijdschrift Article, including Managing Editor, where responsibilities included author communication and managing text revisions. An academic background from Utrecht University includes a Master of Arts in Art History of the Low Countries and a Bachelor of Arts in the same field, complemented by early studies in illustration and a VWO diploma.
