Ian Robertson has extensive experience in the air conditioning and HVAC industry. Ian most recently served as the Director of Sales ANZ at RLS Rapid Locking System since November 2020. Prior to that, they were the Sales Manager for NSW/ACT Commercial HVAC at Rinnai Australia from July to October 2020. Ian also has experience running their own HVAC consulting firm. Ian was the Principal Owner of Ian Robertson HVAC Consulting from August 2019 to July 2020. Before starting their consulting business, Ian held various roles at Samsung Electronics, including Director of Air Conditioning from June 2018 to August 2019. Ian also worked at Daikin North America, where they served as Vice President of Sales from July 2015 to April 2018 and as Senior Consultant for the VRV Business from March to May 2015. Additionally, Ian was the General Manager of Sales and Marketing at Seeley International Pty Ltd from February 2013 to September 2014, and the General Manager of Air Conditioning and Energy Solutions at LG Electronics Australia from May 2009 to February 2013. Ian has also held positions at Daikin US Corporation and Daikin Industries, where they worked in strategic planning and business development roles from 2001 to 2008.
Ian Robertson received their Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree in Economics and Finance from Western Sydney University, which they attended from 1991 to 1996. Prior to that, they studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of New South Wales from 1980 to 1983. Ian'seducation began at Hurlstone Agricultural High School, where they completed their secondary education from 1974 to 1979.

RLS LLC pioneered and patented the first press-to-connect fittings for HVAC and refrigeration industries. These first-of-their-kind fittings connect quickly and easily using an RLS-approved press tool and jaws, replacing the time-consuming practice of manually brazing joints. We provide a comprehensive product range, spanning from 1/4 inch to 2-1/8 inch fittings, along with complementary ancillary products for a fully integrated press system. Our fittings debuted in 2015 through an exclusive partnership with Parker-Hannifin Corporation’s Sporlan division, sold under the ZoomLock® brand. The technology's popularity led to a wide range of new products introduced over 5 years, achieving global adoption. Following our private-label arrangement conclusion in 2019, we began selling our fittings under the RLS brand. As of August 2020, our focus shifted away from supplying ZoomLock brand, concentrating on expanding our distribution.
