Calum Drummond

Calum Drummond is the current Deputy Vice-Chancellor Research, Innovation, VP & Interim DVC, STEM College at RMIT University. Calum has also previously worked as Vice President Research at CAP-XX Limited from January 2001 to June 2004, and as Group Executive for Manufacturing, Materials and Minerals at CSIRO from July 2004 to January 2014. From August 1987 to December 2000, they worked as a Research Scientist, ARC Queen Elizabeth II Fellow, Project Leader and Program Manager at CSIRO.

Calum Drummond has a wealth of experience in research and innovation. Calum is a highly respected figure in the scientific community, and their work has helped to shape the direction of research and development in Australia. Calum is a passionate advocate for the role of science and technology in driving economic growth and improving the quality of life for all Australians.

Calum Drummond has a BSc Ed (H1); BSc Hons (H1); PhD; DSc in Physical Chemistry from the University of Melbourne. Calum also has certification from the Australian Institute of Company Directors in Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Currently, they are enrolled in an Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.

Their manager is Martin Bean, Vice-Chancellor & President. They are on a team with Julie Cogin - Deputy Vice-Chancellor Business, Law & VP, Tim Marshall - Deputy Vice-Chancellor Design,Social Context & VP, and Mish Eastman - Deputy Vice-Chancellor Vocational Education.
