Mark Sanderson

Mark Sanderson is the Dean of Research & Innovation for the Engineering & Technology faculty at RMIT University. Mark has over two decades of experience in the field of information retrieval, and has held previous positions as a visiting researcher at Microsoft Research, a professor at the University of Sheffield, and a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Mark began their career as a researcher at the University of Glasgow.

Mark's research interests include information retrieval, document summarization, and data mining. Mark has published numerous papers in these fields, and their work has been recognized with several awards, including the ACM SIGIR Best Paper Award and the ACM SIGKDD Best Service Award.

Mark Sanderson graduated with a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Glasgow. Mark then went on to earn their PhD in Computer Science from the University of Glasgow.
