Tom Pater

Tom Pater has been working in the finance and healthcare industries for over thirty years. Tom started their career as a staff accountant and quickly rose through the ranks to become a finance manager. In 1987, they became the controller of Consolidated Catholic Health Care and held that position for two years before moving to Horizon Mental Health Services as their chief financial officer. Tom remained in that role for four years before taking on an interim role as chief financial officer of Rogers Memorial Hospital. After a brief stint there, they joined RML Specialty Hospital as their vice president of finance and chief financial officer, a position they have held for over twenty-five years. Throughout their career, Tom has been known for their dedication to their work and their ability to navigate complex financial situations. Tom is a respected leader in the healthcare industry and has helped countless organizations navigate through difficult times.

Tom Pater completed their undergraduate degree in accounting at Northern Illinois University. Tom then went on to complete a certification from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in Registered Certified Public Accountant.

They are on a team with Stephen Mills - Executive Director Operations, Chicago, Marti Edwards - VP, Patient Care Services & Chief Nursing Officer, and John Brofman - Chief Medical Officer. Tom Pater reports to Jim Prister, President & CEO.
