Dale Wedel has extensive work experience in software engineering. Dale began their career in 1989 as a Software Engineer at Software Engineering Professionals, Inc., where they worked until 1994. Dale then established their own company, DL Wedel and Associates, where they served as the owner until 2000. During this time, they gained expertise in software development and project management. In 2000, Dale joined the Libertarian Party of Indiana as a Software Engineer, later taking on the role of Project Lead. Dale has specialized in developing software for medical instruments and has occasionally led software teams. Dale's most recent position is as a Software Engineer for the Libertarian Party, where they continue to apply their technical skills and contribute to software development efforts.

Dale Wedel has a strong educational background in the field of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. Dale obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science from the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, where they studied from 1982 to 1986. Following their undergraduate degree, Dale pursued further studies at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Electrical Engineering. Dale completed their master's degree program at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute from 1986 to 1987.

In addition to their formal education, Dale Wedel has also acquired several certifications related to Bioinformatics through online courses. These include certifications in Genomic Data Science and Clustering, Molecular Evolution, Comparing Genes, Proteins, and Genomes, Genome Sequencing, and Finding Hidden Messages in DNA.
