John P. Sabra, M.D. FACS has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. John P. is the Co-Founder and Surgeon at Austin Thyroid Surgeons since June 2017. Prior to that, they worked as an Assistant Professor at Dell Medical School at the University of Texas at Austin. In 2012, they co-founded and became the Managing Partner of MedtoMarket Consulting, Inc., an organization focused on healthcare consulting. Additionally, they co-founded and served as the Managing Partner at RN.D.S. starting from January 2016. Dr. Sabra also has experience as the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) at Circuit of The Americas since July 2013. John P. began their career in 2003 at Seton Family of Hospitals, where they were involved in General Surgery, Endocrine Surgery, and Trauma Surgery. Furthermore, they served as the Committee Chair of Membership and Fundraising at the International Council of Motorsport Science. Prior to their civilian career, Dr. Sabra worked as a Fleet Surgeon in the US Navy from July 2000 to July 2003.

John P. Sabra, M.D. FACS completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology at Brown University from 1987 to 1991. John P. then pursued their medical studies at Brown University from 1991 to 1995, earning their M.D. degree in Medicine. Subsequently, they completed the General Surgery Residency Program at UT Southwestern Medical Center from 1995 to 2000.

In addition to their formal education, Dr. Sabra has obtained various certifications throughout their career. These include the FIM Superlicense from the FIM (Federation Internationale de Motocyclisme) in 2016, the FIA Chief Medical Officer US Grand Prix certification from the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) in 2015, and the Instructor, Advanced Trauma Life Support certification from the American College of Surgeons in 2003. John P. is also board-certified in Surgery by the American Board of Surgery and holds the designation of FACS (Fellow, American College of Surgeons) from the American College of Surgeons.
