David Aldwinckle has extensive experience in the non-profit sector, particularly in roles related to innovation, customer voice, and community engagement. David began their career with Action for Blind People in 2007, where they served as the Head of Service Development and later the Head of Innovation & Projects. In 2012, they joined RNIB and held various positions, including Head of Community Engagement and Head of Co-production. Their responsibilities at RNIB involved developing relationships with blind and partially sighted individuals, driving strategic development, and implementing structural changes to facilitate public engagement. In 2018, they became the Head of Strategic Innovation & Engagement, and in 2020, they assumed the role of Head of Innovation & Customer Voice. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Insight & Customer Voice at RNIB.
David Aldwinckle completed their Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree in Law at the University of Hull from 1992 to 1995. In 2015, they attended Hult Ashridge for the Aabridge Leadership Programme, specializing in Organizational Leadership. Additionally, in 2016, they obtained certification as a Change Management Practitioner from Prosci.
