Adrian Carey has extensive experience in maritime search and rescue, having served in various leadership roles at the RNLI since November 1998, currently as Head of the South West Region. Responsibilities include leading the strategic vision of the organization, ensuring the delivery of effective and compliant maritime services across the UK and Ireland, and collaborating with departmental heads to enhance performance standards. Prior roles at the RNLI involved senior management of lifesaving services and operational competence for lifeguards, lifeboats, and flood teams. Before joining the RNLI, Adrian served as a Royal Marines Officer for over eight years, gaining leadership experience in demanding operational environments worldwide. Adrian received military training at the Commando Training Centre Royal Marines and completed foundational education at Elizabeth College in Guernsey.
