Jack Smedley currently serves as the Marine Operations Manager at WMS since June 2024 and holds a voluntary position as a Director on the board of Queenborough Harbour Trust C.I.C. since October 2023. With extensive maritime experience, Jack has been a Helmsman and Crewman for RNLI since January 2016. Previous roles include Operations Management Team member at Briggs Marine from July 2020 to June 2024, Operations Supervisor, and Coxswain. Jack also worked as a Multitask Seaman at Estuary Services Limited from September 2015 to April 2021 and served as Berthing Master/Lead Coxswain at Medway Marine Shipping Services from February 2012 to July 2020. Other positions held include Charge Hand Scaffolder at Island Scaffolding Ltd. from July 2008 to August 2017 and Stevedore at Portside Contractors from January 2009 to June 2012. Jack completed education at Minster College from 2005 to 2008.
