John Cotton is a seasoned mechanical engineer with extensive experience in engineering design and project execution. Currently serving as a Senior Engineer (Launch and Recovery) at the RNLI since March 2019, John previously held roles as a Principal Engineer and Senior Engineer at Amtek Engineering Solutions Ltd and Amtek Engineering Solutions, respectively. Earlier career exposure includes a position as a Trainee Design Engineer at Siemens VAI. Academic qualifications include an MSc in Mechanical Engineering Design from Bournemouth University, a BEng in Mechanical & Manufacturing Engineering from the University of Portsmouth, and a Foundation degree in Manufacturing & Mechanical Engineering from Southampton Solent University.
