Simon Hartley has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Simon started their career in 2010 as a Sales and Warehouse Advisor at ROCKEM MUSIC LIMITED, where they assisted with sales of musical instruments and prepared products for dispatch. In 2012, they joined Capita as a Team Leader until 2014. During this time, they managed and supervised a team. In 2014, they transitioned to Rotherham College as a Business Development Consultant, where they focused on maximizing opportunities for employers, particularly in apprenticeships and commercial courses. Simon also played a key role in building partnerships with employers and understanding their business needs. In 2016, they moved to RNN Group UK, initially as a Business Development Consultant and later as a Business Development Team Leader. Here, they continued their work in apprenticeships and commercial courses, assisting with the overall apprentice journey and building partnerships with employers. Currently, they hold the role of Business Development Team Leader at RNN Group UK. Additionally, in 2010, they served as the Creative Director for BeanFest, coordinating an annual festival and overseeing various aspects, such as booking artists and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Simon Hartley attended Wingfield Comprehensive School from 2000 to 2005, where they obtained GCSEs with grades A - C, including Maths and English. Simon then enrolled at Rotherham College from 2005 to 2007, where they completed a BTEC National Diploma in Popular Music. Following this, Simon continued their education at Rotherham College from 2007 to 2009, where they pursued a Foundation Degree in Performing Arts. Finally, they attended Sheffield Hallam University from 2009 to 2010, where they earned a bachelor's degree in Performance and Professional Practice (BA).
