Amy Williams is an experienced journalist with a diverse background in reporting and communications. Currently serving as a Senior Reporter at RNZ since July 2018, Amy covers a variety of stories for news bulletins, Checkpoint, Morning Report, and the RNZ website, while also investigating original story leads. Prior freelance roles include writing for various formats covering business to lifestyle topics and working part-time as a Communications Specialist for New Zealand Trade and Enterprise. Additional experience includes positions as a Business Reporter at Radio New Zealand and National Business Review, as well as earlier reporting roles at Central Leader, Auckland City Harbour News, and West Weekly. Amy holds a Bachelor of Communication Studies from Auckland University of Technology.
