Ying Ma

Ying Ma is a Senior Data Scientist at Ro since November 2018, having previously held the position of Data Scientist. Ying has a rich background in data science and research, including roles as a Technical Advisor and Data Science Fellow at Insight Data Science, and as a Graduate Researcher at Columbia University in the City of New York. Notable accomplishments include mathematical modeling of brain activity and blood flow, leading to published work in PNAS, and development of optical interference models with results published in Phil. Ying's training in data science includes hands-on experience with Python and collaborative projects that achieved high accuracy in convolutional neural network classification. Ying holds a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Columbia University, a Master of Science from The Johns Hopkins University, and a Bachelor's degree from Zhejiang University, underscoring a strong foundation in the field.
