Samuel Fitzer, PE, PMP has a diverse work experience spanning over 18 years. Samuel currently holds the position of Director of Engineering at the Road Commission for Oakland County, where they oversee a department of 80 employees and manages a $100M annual road and bridge improvement program. Prior to this, they served as a Senior Project Manager at CBRE, leading a team responsible for delivering over $500M of commercial and industrial real estate projects. Samuel also worked as a Project Manager at Alta Vista Solutions, managing construction quality assurance and technical guidance for Caltrans bridge and highway projects. Earlier in their career, they held roles as a Project Manager at the Metropolitan Transportation Commission, Lead Quality Engineer at Alta Vista Solutions, and Project Engineer/Assistant Project Manager at Kal Krishnan Consulting Services. Samuel began their professional journey as the Northern California Director at Student Veterans of America and served as an Operations Manager in the United States Marine Corps. Prior to that, they attained a Master of Science degree in Structural/Earthquake Engineering and a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from San Francisco State University. Samuel also pursued additional education in Planning & Zoning from Michigan State University - Extension and Project Management from University of California, Berkeley - Extension.
