Brian Kenny Llb

Brian Kenny LLB, CMILT has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Brian began their career at ASDA as a Team Leader, where they played a crucial role in ensuring exceptional customer service and product availability. Brian also contributed to the successful setup and integration of a new chill distribution center into the existing network.

Brian then ventured into entrepreneurship and founded 1st Pass Driver Training. As the Proprietor, they provided comprehensive practical and theoretical training to learner drivers. Brian expanded the business by offering defensive driving and fuel economy courses to company car, van, and LGV drivers.

In 2008, Brian joined the Road Haulage Association (RHA) as a Training Manager for Scotland and Northern Ireland. Brian managed the regional commercial profit and loss accounts, developed and mentored the administration team, and represented the RHA at various meetings and groups.

Progressing within the RHA, Brian assumed the role of Regional Operations Manager for Scotland and Northern Ireland in 2015. In this position, they had a wide array of responsibilities, including stakeholder engagement, liaison with government departments and agencies, and overseeing the efficient running of the regional office and commercial training operation.

From 2018 until their most recent role, Brian served as the Head of Learning and Development for Scotland and Northern Ireland at RHA. Brian successfully expanded the education and training provision for the transport and logistics industry, while also managing the technical training offered by RHA. Brian spearheaded the development of new initiatives and funding streams to address future challenges, leading to significant growth and success for the team.

Currently, Brian holds the position of Head of Training & Sales for Scotland and Northern Ireland at RHA. In this capacity, they continue to build on their previous accomplishments by further enhancing training opportunities and driving sales.

Brian Kenny obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) in Scots Law from Edinburgh Napier University, where they studied from 2014 to 2018. In addition, they have obtained various certifications, including DGSA from SQA - Scottish Qualifications Authority in March 2020, L&D11 from SQA in 2019, L&D9DI Assessor Qualification from SQA in 2018, and Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser from SQA in April 2014. Brian also holds certifications in fields such as teaching, transportation, and health and safety management, obtained from various institutions throughout their career.
