Samir Wildemann

Samir Wildemann has a long and impressive career in hospitality. Samir began their career in 1985 with InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG®) in the Food & Beverage Department. In 1986, they moved to the Sheraton in the Food & Beverage Department. From 1987 to 2004, they worked for Le Meridien Hotels & Resorts, progressing from General Manager to Executive Assistant Manager to Rooms Division. In 2004, they became General Manager at the Pan Pacific Hotel Bangkok, and in 2008 they took on the role of Pre-Opening General Manager at Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group. In 2010, they became Pre-Opening General Manager and Corporate Executive Officer at The Okura Prestige Bangkok. In 2015, they were appointed General Manager and Senior Vice President South-East Asia at Kempinski Hotels. Most recently, in 2019, they joined Fusion Hotel Group as Vice President Operations. In 2022, they became Co-Founder & Director of Roadbook, an editorial platform exploring the future of travel.

Samir Wildemann's education history consists of four schools. Samir attended the Swiss German School Bangkok from 1969 to 1972, the German School New Delhi / India from 1972 to 1976, the Deutsche Schule Tokyo Yokohama from 1976 to 1984, and Tourism School Klessheim from 1984 to 1986, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Tourism and Hotel Management.
