Max Shafer

Head Brewer at Roadhouse Brewing Co

Max Shafer has a diverse work experience. In 2010, they worked as a Cabin Counselor and Trip Leader at Teton Valley Ranch Camp - Education Foundation. In 2012, they joined Grand Teton Brewing Co as a Cellarman and later moved up to the roles of Shift Brewer and Cellar Master and Barrel Manager. At Grand Teton Brewing, Max was responsible for overseeing production, monitoring fermentation and yeast health, and writing/developing recipes for various beer series. In 2017, they became the Head Brewer at Roadhouse Brewing Co.

Max Shafer began their education in 2008 at St. Lawrence University, where they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Conservation Biology. Max completed their studies in 2012. Following this, in 2015, Max obtained a certification as a Wilderness First Responder from the NOLS Wilderness Medicine Institute (WMI). Max then attended the Siebel Institute of Technology from 2015 to 2016, where they participated in the World Brewing Academy program. In the same time period, Max also completed the International Diploma Course at the Siebel Institute of Technology. No specific degree was mentioned for these courses.
