Fergus Melligan

Fergus Melligan is a Product Development Manager at Roadstone Ltd., where they have overseen R&D initiatives to improve the sustainability of asphalt materials since 2025. Prior to this role, Fergus served as an Asphalt R&D Supervisor at the same company from 2017 to 2026 and worked as a Laboratory Analyst at The State Laboratory from 2016 to 2017. With a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Limerick, Fergus has extensive experience in catalyst research and analytical techniques, having previously held research scientist positions at Johnson Matthey and collaborated on projects related to air pollution reduction. They began their academic journey at the University of Limerick, obtaining a 2.1 degree in Industrial Chemistry in 2007.
