Kari Mazzaferro

Kari Mazzaferro is a seasoned professional in horticulture with extensive experience in plant development and management. Currently serving as Product Development Manager at The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company since June 2016, Kari has also held positions as Technology Development Manager and Scientist within the same organization. Previous roles include Greenhouse Manager at the University of Pittsburgh, Research Greenhouse Manager at DuPont, and Research Associate at Monsanto. With a strong foundation in greenhouse management and production research, Kari has contributed significantly to the herbicide discovery process and commercial breeding efforts throughout a diverse career that began with an early internship at Green Circle Growers and included key positions at Syngenta, West Virginia University, and Kerry's Bromeliad Nursery. Kari holds a Master’s degree in Horticulture from Michigan State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture from Penn State University.
