Ed van de Kooij has been in the tech industry since 2006. Ed began their career as the owner of VANDEKOOY Automatisering, where they were responsible for automation and technical services. In 2019, they joined Roamler as a Field Service Engineer Roamler Tech and Oxxio as a Field Service Engineer Oxxio. In 2021, they worked with A.S. Watson Group and E-Fiber as an Installatiemonteur. Ed also worked with Guidion as a Field Service Engineer Guidion, where they worked on the ITNS project to convert 40,000 Telfort connections to KPN. Ed also worked with VolkerWessels Telecom as a Field Service Engineer VWT, where they worked on the ISTN Project and the Edutel project to convert 72,000 OnsBrabantNet connections to KPN. In 2022, they will join Alwel as an Installatiemonteur to work on the Nu-Swift project Rookmelders.

Ed van de Kooij's education history includes attending Lager onderwijs from 1972 to 1978, MTS Electronica/informatica from 1982 to 1986, and a variety of additional certifications from 2007 to 2018. In 2007, they obtained the Microsoft Certified Professional certification from Microsoft and the Designing, Deploying and Managing a Network Solution for the Small and Medium-sized Business certification from New Horizons Learning. In 2011, they obtained the Cisco Unified Communications certification from IMUC Engineer training and IMUC account manager training. In 2014, they obtained the NLSM005 Microsoft Partner Network: Office365 Training + Assessment voor Small Business certification from Microsoft. In addition, they obtained certifications from Klict bv, LCC, One2train - ICT Trainingen, Services & Communicatie, SGS Group, and Dirksen Opleidingen between 2007 and 2018.
