James Ferguson

James Ferguson CFP®, AIF® has a diverse and extensive work experience in the financial industry. James started their career at TIAA in 2007, where they served as a Wealth Management Advisor for eight years. In 2015, they joined Mercer Advisors as a Regional Vice President before transitioning to GAAM Wealth Advisors in 2016 as the Managing Director of Advisory Services. Most recently, in 2018, James co-founded Roan Capital Partners and currently serves as the Managing Partner. Throughout their career, James has gained expertise in financial advisory, wealth management, and leadership roles. James is a NAPFA registered advisor.

James Ferguson CFP®, AIF® has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Administration with Honors from The Citadel. James also holds a Darden MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business. Additionally, they have obtained certifications such as NAPFA Registered Financial Advisor from the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors, and they are a Certified Financial Planner through the CFP Board. James is also qualified with certifications in Series 65 and Series 7, both from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).
