Joy Wong

Joy Wong is a DevOps Engineer with experience in cloud infrastructure and development. Joy worked at Robeco from 2022 to the present as a DevOps Engineer and Cloud Infrastructure Engineer. Prior to that, they worked at LINKIT from 2022 to 2023 as a Cloud DevOps Engineer, where they developed solutions in the Microsoft Azure environment using .NET C# and gained familiarity in Azure DevOps, Terraform, Docker, and Azure IoT-related solutions. Before that, Joy worked at the National Parks Board from 2017 to 2021, where they held roles as a Data Analyst and Biodiversity Manager. In these roles, they managed citizen science projects and organized annual surveys in Singapore parks. Joy also has research experience, having worked as a Research Assistant and Undergraduate Student Researcher at the Reef Ecology Lab, NUS from 2016 to 2017. Joy interned as a Professional Services Intern at Esri Singapore in 2016. Additionally, Joy worked at the National University of Singapore as a Casual Management Support Staff in the Office of Housing Services in 2013, where they handled check-ins, check-outs, and payments. Joy also had barista experience at Starbucks Coffee Singapore in early 2013.

Joy Wong completed their Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Studies (Environmental Biology) from the National University of Singapore from 2013 to 2017. In 2015, they participated in an international exchange program at University College Cork, where they studied Geography and Biological Sciences. Prior to their university education, they attended National Junior College in Singapore from 2011 to 2012. Joy completed their O Levels at Nan Hua High School from 2007 to 2010.

In addition to their formal education, Joy has obtained several certifications. Joy received the Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Fundamentals (PL900) certification from Microsoft in July 2023. Earlier in March 2023, they obtained the Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate (SC300) certification. In December 2022, they earned the Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ305) certification. In November 2022, they obtained the Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ104) certification.

Joy also holds the Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ400) certification, which they obtained in August 2022, along with the Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals (SC900) certification. In July 2022, they obtained the Microsoft Certified: Azure IoT Developer Specialty (AZ220) certification. In March 2022, they earned the Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate (AZ204) certification. Prior to that, they obtained the Professional Scrum Master™ I (PSM I) certification from Scrum.org in March 2022.

Joy'scertifications also include the Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (AZ900) certification, which they obtained in October 2021. In November 2020, they completed the Associate Cloud Engineer certification from Google Cloud. Joy's non-educational certifications include the Rescue Diver certification from PADI, obtained in November 2017, and the Advanced Open Water Diver certification, obtained in May 2015.
