Maarten van Santen

Maarten van Santen has a solid and diverse work experience in the financial industry. Maarten started their career as a Corporate Banking Intern at ABN AMRO Bank N.V. in 2015, where they assisted with customer onboarding and provided support in treasury solutions and trade services.

In 2017, Maarten joined Vopak as a Business Analysis Intern, where they gained valuable experience in analyzing business operations and making recommendations for improvement. Later in the same year, they returned to ABN AMRO Bank N.V. as a Commercial Banking Work Student. Here, they worked on developing a credit risk model for short-sea shipping vessels and conducted research on the retail industry, identifying opportunities and providing strategies for capitalization.

In 2019, Maarten joined Robeco as a Client and Investment Services Work Student, where their responsibilities included assisting with client services and investment operations. Currently, they hold the position of Distribution Oversight Analyst at Robeco, where they oversee distribution activities and ensures compliance with regulations.

Throughout their career, Maarten has demonstrated strong analytical and research skills, as well as a keen understanding of the financial sector.

Maarten van Santen began their education in 2013 at the Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Business Administration. Maarten completed this program in 2017. In 2016, Maarten participated in an exchange program at the New York Institute of Technology, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree for the duration of one year. Following this, in 2019, they enrolled at Erasmus University Rotterdam and completed a Premaster (PM) program in Business Administration in 2020. Maarten then continued their studies at Erasmus University Rotterdam and obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Business Administration in 2022.
