Marcel Prins

Marcel Prins (1969) is Chief Operating Officer (COO) and became a member of the Executive Committee on 1 June 2022.

Marcel began his career in 1991 as Information Analyst at the Dutch Employee Insurance Agency before moving to DCE International as a Management Consultant in 1996. In 2004, he joined Fortis Bank where he held different roles including COO Merchant Bank for Fortis Bank Nederland. He was appointed Managing Director for International Operations at ABN AMRO in 2010. Most recently, from 2011, Marcel was Chief Operating Officer at APG Asset Management, a position that he combined with the role of Chief Digital Officer during his last months at APG Asset Management.

Marcel holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from The Hague University of Applied Sciences (1991).
