Kerstin Lohse-Friedrich

Senior Vice President, Communications at Robert Bosch Stiftung

Kerstin Lohse-Friedrich has a diverse work experience spanning over several positions in different organizations. Kerstin is currently serving as the Senior Vice President of Communications at Robert Bosch Stiftung since March 2021. Prior to this, they held the position of Director of Communications at Mercator Institute for China Studies (MERICS) gGmbH from November 2013 to February 2021.

Their earlier roles include working as a Radio Correspondent at ARD Berlin Headquarter for the ARD - Arbeitsgemeinschaft der öffentlich-rechtlichen Rundfunkanstalten der BRD from August 2009 to October 2013. Before that, they were a Senior Manager to the CEO at Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg from November 2005 to July 2009.

Their career began as an ARD China Correspondent at ARD - Arbeitsgemeinschaft der öffentlich-rechtlichen Rundfunkanstalten der BRD in August 2000, where they served until October 2005.

Kerstin Lohse-Friedrich obtained their M.A. in Political Science and Chinese Studies from Heidelberg University in the period of 1989 to 1996. Kerstin pursued additional studies in Chinese Studies at Leiden University in 1995 and International Politics at Peking University from 1992 to 1993. Later, in 2017 to 2018, they earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Communication & Leadership from Quadriga University of Applied Sciences.
