Sabrina Weiss is an accomplished professional in the field of public health and virology with extensive experience across various organizations. Currently serving as Unit Head of Public Health Laboratory Support at the Robert Koch Institute since November 2019, Sabrina Weiss enhances diagnostic capabilities in international partner laboratories, primarily in Africa and the Western Balkans. Previously, as a Research Group Leader at Charité, research focused on the epidemiology and molecular evolution of hantaviruses. Sabrina Weiss also completed the EUPHEM Fellowship at Public Health England, served as a Field Epidemiologist during the Ebola outbreak response for the World Health Organization, and contributed to zoonotic research as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Robert Koch Institute. Educationally, Sabrina Weiss holds a Diplom-Ingenieurin (Dipl.Ing.) in medical Biotechnology from Technische Universität Berlin.
