Nicole Szalla Dnp

Nicole Szalla DNP, RN, CHSE currently serves as the Director of the RISE Simulation Center at Robert Morris University, a role undertaken since July 2020, where leadership of a dedicated team is focused on enhancing simulation experiences for nursing students and the surrounding community. Previously, Nicole worked as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Duquesne University School of Nursing, teaching various nursing courses. Nicole's extensive experience includes multiple roles at UPMC, including Advanced Clinical Education Specialist and Case Manager, along with adjunct and simulation education roles. Nicole's career began in the United States Navy, where service as a Lieutenant involved nursing supervision and mentoring. Educational achievements include a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Duquesne University, along with multiple nursing and leadership certifications.
